Steve Mosher's See Coming Victory Over Abortion

Below is a email I recieved from Steve Mosher. Please read it because it is important. I don't want to get into names, but there are some pro-life organizations which I wouldn't donate a penny. Steve's PRI is just the opposite, if you could only donate to one pro-life group that is the one.

Fred

Abortion may be legal in America, but more and more Americans are choosing life. This shift in attitude will have a positive demographic effect in the years ahead. As more and more Americans choose life, America is shifting towards the Culture of Life.

The Coming Demographic Victory

Pro-lifers may be on the defensive in the courtroom, but they are winning the battle of the cradle.
The first person to point this out to me was Father Paul Marx. A family sociologist by training, Father had noticed in his travels around the United States that pro-lifers had larger families than the American average. I had observed the same thing. Pro-life events attracted families with four, six, or even eight children. It only made sense, we agreed, that those who respect the sanctity of unborn life would average more children than those who do not. For one thing, their children are at far less risk of being aborted than are the children of pro-aborts.

It was left to crack HLI researcher Brian Clowes to clothe these impressions with statistics. Dr. Clowes concluded from the sketchy survey data then available that there were significant, even striking differences in fertility between the two groups. While those who professed pro-life sentiments far exceeded the American average of two children, those who supported legal abortion fell far short of this figure. Specifically, he found that pro-lifers averaged three children, while pro-aborts averaged one. This is to say, pro-lifers were out reproducing pro-aborts by a margin of three to one.

At the time, in the mid-nineties, the polls showed that Americans were more or less evenly divided on the abortion question. But if we were right, the poll numbers would inexorably shift in a pro-life direction as time passed. Demography is destiny, after all. If the pro-lifers were having three times as many children as the pro-aborts, then the ranks of the pro-lifers would swell while the ranks of the pro-aborts thinned. The pro-abortion movement would have signed its own death warrant.

Pro-lifers, on the other hand, would be busy signing birth certificates.
After a generation, the country would be overwhelmingly pro-life.

The mind is drawn toward pleasant prospects, but is there any hard evidence of such a demographic shift? I am happy to report that there is. A new Gallup poll of teenagers, reported on November 24, 2003 by WorldNetDaily.com, found that 72 percent of those queried believe abortion is morally wrong.

The survey of youth, aged 13 to 17, indicated just 19 percent believe abortion should be legal in all circumstances, compared to 26 percent for adults. About 47 percent of teens said it should be legal under some circumstances, while 55 percent of adults agreed. Most strikingly, about 32 percent of teens thought abortion should never be permitted, while only 17 percent of adults said the same. Religious conviction played a part in these views. Only 12 percent of churchgoing youth thought that abortion is morally acceptable, compared with about 38 percent of non-churchgoing youth. About 40 percent of churchgoing teens believe abortion should be illegal under any circumstance, compared to 26 percent for non-churchgoers.

The Gallup Youth Survey was done through a scientific methodology via the Internet to ensure a representative sample of the U.S. population. The questionnaire was completed by 517 youths. Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, told Baptist Press that "We're winning the struggle for hearts and minds. The young people are more conservative than their parents."
But I believe it would be accurate to say that we are winning the battle
of the cradle. The young people surveyed are, by and large, the sons and
daughters of parents of pro-life sentiments. Like begets like, only in greater number.

The battle is not over yet, however.

The pro-aborts are not going quietly into demographic oblivion. (Do they ever do anything quietly?) While they have largely stopped reproducing themselves biologically, they are continuing to replicate themselves culturally. What do I mean? I mean that the Culture of Death controls MTV and passes its anti-people and anti-baby attitudes along to unsuspecting young viewers. It controls elite institutions of higher education. Tenured abortion radicals are zealous in making new recruits to their anti-life views.

This means that it is not enough to simply welcome more children into the world. People of pro-life sentiments must ensure that their own children_and as many other young people as they can reach_are properly taught the Culture of Life values that they are the product of. They will find their pro-life views under assault as they go on to college, and must be taught to defend them.

If this is done, then this country will move sharply in a pro-life direction over the next decade. And the stage will be set to outlaw not merely Partial Birth Abortions, but all abortions.

Psychoanalysis and Idolatry

Psychoanalysis and Idolatry

The Western Christian culture was rooted in realism. Realism was the belief in the objectivity of things that are material and spiritual. During the last two century, modernity gave a thumbs down to it’s cultural foundation. Christian realism was rooted out and the foundation was refilled with science- in which reality was contained only within material objects that could be tested.

God, love, beauty and free-will were neither material nor testable, so they were not within modernity's reality. The primacy of realistic philosophies such as Thomism and wondrous literature like Shakespeare, then, were dislodged by Pavlovian behaviorism and others scientific studies in colleges and scholarly associations.
This cramped reality of only the materially testable led to rootlessness and alienation, which was so unbearable to modern man that there was a reaction.

According to Allan Bloom, Friedrich Nietzsche’s antirational and antirealism philosophy as well as language was the American reaction. He said, ”Words such as “charisma,” ”lifestyle,” “commitment,“ “identity,“ and many other, all of which can easily be traced to Nietzsche are now practically American slang.” But, the most important Nietzschian word is “values.”

“Values” means the subjectivity of all concepts about good and evil. Many will remember when President Reagan called the USSR “the evil empire;” he was roundly criticized for violating the new language of “beyond good and evil.” This language of value relativism does not allow for the word “evil.”

According to Bloom, two writers are responsible for most of the Nietzschian language in America-Max Weber and Sigmund Freud. Few know that Freud was “ profoundly influenced by Nietzsche,” said Bloom.
Freud under the cover of scientific terminology moved psychiatry away from the mechanistic and biological to the previously “unscientific” model of the “ symbolic language of the unconscious.” Freud’s pupil, Carl Jung took the symbolic language of the unconscious a step farther.

Unlike his mentor, Jung’s unconscious theory is not about making conscious the sexually repressed or forgotten memories. His symbolic therapy used what he called the “active imagination” to incorporate split off parts of the unconscious (complexes) into the conscious mind.

Many Christians thought this “language of the soul” was a step forward from the cramped scientific reality of modernity. What they didn’t understand was that Jung’s theory was part of a movement that led to the rejection of objective reality, even from the narrow realism of science. Jungian psychoanalysis reduces Christian realistic concepts such as God, free-will and intelligence to blind reactions, unconscious urges and uncontrollable acts. Even more disastrous, he inverted Christian worship.

Leanne Payne- a Christian therapist- considers Jung not a scientist, but a post-modernist subjectivist. Jung’s active imagination therapy ” is hostile not only to the Judeo-Christian worldview, but to all systems containing objective moral and spiritual value. Within this world the self becomes god. What the self wants is what is finally right or moral,” Payne said, “These psychic persona [complexes] are literally called “gods“(“archetypes’), and so an overt idolatry of self follows quickly.”

Some of the largest audiences for this inversion of realism and the Judeo-Christian worldview are followers of Christ. By using Christian symbols and terminology, Jungian spirituality has infiltrated to a large extent Christian publishers, seminaries, even convents and monasteries.

Many Christians are using Jung’s active imagination as a method of prayer. Psychiatrist Jeffrey Satinover, M.D., thinks this is dangerous ” because this fantasy life has no moral underpinnings, because it helps to reinforce an experience of autonomous inner “beings” accessible via imagination, and because it is a defense against redemptive suffering, it easily allies with and quickly becomes a Gnostic form of spiritually with powerfully occult overtones.”

As Dr. Chuck Lowe said of the fringe groups in the Charismatic spiritual mapping movement, ”Post-modernity supplants modernity, objectivity gives way to emotionalism, scientism to spiritism, mechanism to shamanism.” So, unfortunately, with the widespread acceptance of Jungian spirituality, mainstream Christianity seems to be moving to post-modern shamanism (occultism).

Masturbation, Madhouses and Prisons

Masturbation, Madhouses and Prisons

Robert Hale ’s recent statement- that the “... anti-abortion movement is no longer a movement. It’s an industry.”-made me think of a Crisis Pregnancy Center that contradicted his statement. About two years ago, I spoke with its Texan Director who has saved thousands of unborn babies. We spoke of a “Crisis Pregnancy Center” whose top priority-to put it mildly- was not saving as many babies as possible. He said stay away from that center because they are “ spiritual masturbators.”

I love new word combinations, so I researched it to see where it would take me. I found masturbation to be a good metaphor for the spiritual direction our society is taking.

“The ultimate direction of masturbation always has to be insanity” Norman Mailer said.

” If one has, for example, the image of a beautiful sexy babe in masturbation, one still doesn’t know whether one can make love to her in the flesh. All you know is that you can violate her in the brain...But, if one has fought the good or evil fight and ended with the beautiful sexy dame...One has something real to build on.”

Masturbation -as the pornography industry knows -is a profitable lie. For example, if one verbally lies about having sex with a porno star it is a lie. If one imagines having sex with a porno star it is still an untruth. The imagination is used to reach unreality.

On the other hand, the imagination can be used to reach into deep reality. As philosopher Edith Stein showed- truth can be found using the phenomena of the imagination. As Thomas Aquinas, also, demonstrated the mind can grasp the realities of love, truth and God using the phenomena of the imagination and reason.

One only need read Shakespeare or G .K. Chesterton to see the imagination grasping deep truths. Chesterton here shows how the reason and imagination can work together to reveal the philosophical reality of being or Ens:

“A brilliant Victorian scientist delighted in declaring that the child does not see any grass at all; but only a sort of green mist reflected in a tiny mirror of the human eye. This piece of rationalism has always struck me as almost insanely irrational. If he is not sure of the existence of the grass, which he sees through the glass of a window, how on earth can he be sure of the existence of the retina, which he sees through the glass of a microscope... the child is aware of Ens [being]. Long before he knows that grass is grass, or self is self, he knows that something is something. Perhaps it would be best to say very emphatically (with a blow on the table), There is an Is.”

The masturbator who imagines he is with the porno star is in is not. His body and imagination are moving or as moderns would say progressing, but not in the direction of reality.

He is living in what Professor Allan Bloom, writer of the Closing of the American Mind, called the only “self-evident” truth in modern America- the denial of truth. According to the Professor, the only virtue -50 years of public education -has achieved is relativity of truth. Bloom said relativism “is the modern replacement for the inalienable natural rights that used to be the traditional ground for a free society.”In other words, once one moves away from objective truth then universal rights will be replaced by raw power. Bloom, for example, showed how the old civil rights movement “relied on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.” But, the new Black Power movement considering the Constitution “corrupt” demanded a “black identity, not universal rights. Not rights but power counted.”

Once again, Norman Mailer shows how moving away from natural objective truths such as heterosexuality can lead to debased power struggles:

“ So, yes q [homosexuals] in prison strive to become part of the male population, and indeed - it is the irony of homosexuality - try to take on the masculine powers of the man who enters them, even as the studs, if Genet is our accurate guide, become effeminate over the years. For reminds us: homosexuality is not heterosexuality. There is no conception possible, no, no inner space, no damnable spongy pool of a womb...no hint remains of the awe that a life in these circumstances can be conceived. Heterosexual sex with contraception is become by this logic a form of sexual currency closer to the homosexual than the heterosexual, a clearinghouse for power, a market for psychic power in which the stronger will use the weaker, and the female in the act, whether possessed of a vagina or phallus, will look to ingest or steal the masculine qualities of the dominator.”

This is the end result when universal truths and responsibility toward those truths are denied. The only “currency” left is stealing of power. If our society will not tolerate truth calling it intolerance; then sex will not be about married love, but masturbation and power struggles. Leaving our society progressing towards the unreality of a madhouse and the power struggles of a prison.

The Hidden Axis of Evil

The Hidden Axis of Evil

By W. J. Rayment

"The Hidden of Evil" explains the mind-set of the pro-abortion lobby and the tools used to manipulate the electorate into backing the abortionist agenda. As Fred Martinez points out, there is a vicious cycle. A person who has killed her child by abortion is more likely to continue to support the abortion agenda because she wants to justify her drastic past decisions. To become pro-life is to admit guilt.

This issue has inflamed modern Catholicism because it has personally touched so many members of the church. Like divorce, abortion is a fact conveniently side-stepped and often ignored by the American church, even while the Vatican continues to adhere to traditional values.

Beyond abortion, Fred Martinez takes on the issue of Gays in the priesthood. The American left-wing press has real problems of credibility on this issue because their agenda has been obvious for so long. For the left-wing media, established religion is anathema because of its stand on morality.

Moral relativism is the holy god of the left.

Is Our Lady of Guadalupe a Jewish maiden or a Indian Princess?

Is Our Lady of Guadalupe a Jewish maiden or a Indian Princess?

Fred,

The gentleman you worked with at AFC indicated that her [Our Lady of Guadalupe image] dress and appearance are more appropriate to the Jewish maiden. Wanted to see if there is further documentation on this. Most scholarly works these days do not take this point and so, agreeably, it is difficult to maintain the position without little support. Unless you take GK's text as maxim and law that the majority has rarely, if ever, been in the right.

Dear Sir,

Have you heard of Dr. Charles Wahlig, the nuclear physicist, who studied the image of OLG as well as the reflection of the images in her eyes of Juan Diego and others. In a 1980's Apostolate for Family Consecration (AFC) video, which I appeared on, Wahlig said that someone had painted OLG a darker complexion such as a Mexican Indian would have over the original image.

According to the physicist on examining the image closely OLG had a lighter complexion like a Jewish woman would have. Wahlig also said in the video that a famous Latino singer ( I believe his name was Jose Cenda) who became a monk went to Palestine in the 1950's and found out that the clothes OLG was wearing were those of a Jewish maiden. You can get the video from Apostolate for Family Consecration. It is called "Immaculate Conception-Patroness of the USA."

I checked the Internet and there is nothing for or against what Wahlig said. If any scholars have any new information on this please send it to me. Most people who write on these subjects just parrot what other have said.

Fred
